The littleblackdressgirl is a bit old-fashioned. While she appreciates the liberties one is able to take with the personal essay form, she feels that some bloggers are taking it a little too far.
So think of this as the anti-blog.
The littleblackdressgirl promises no rambling lists of what she ate today, and no random photos of street signs she passed or strangers whose stocking cap she admired. She promises never to underestimate your attention span.
This blog was created because there is still something to be said for complete sentences and (nearly) finished pieces.
Liz McDaniel, for the record, is the writer behind the littleblackdressgirl. Her work has appeared in The New York Times, WSJ Magazine, Men’s Vogue, and on Style.com.
